DENVER—A Utah man has pleaded guilty to three counts of trafficking in artifacts improperly taken from public lands in Utah and Colorado without permits.

A plea agreement filed Tuesday in U.S. District Court in Colorado says David A. King of Monticello helped arrange sales to an informant of a pendant, jar and stone point in 2008.

The deal says King has agreed to cooperate with the government in an ongoing investigation of least four other people in the case.

Sentencing is set for Aug. 3 in Durango, Colo.
