Rocky Mountain National Park’s road crew began plowing Trail Ridge Road on April 19, from the east and west sides of the park.

Road crews on the east side are reporting 10 to 14 feet of snow between Many Parks Curve and Rainbow Curve, the most seen in this area for years.

The earliest Trail Ridge Road is expected to open is Friday, May 27, weather permitting. A recorded phone line provides the status of Trail Ridge Road at (970) 586-1222.
