Sure, we bounced to “Like a G6” all summer — last year. The Far East Movement jam was the hotness, a great dancefloor-filler and a fun pop indulgence.

Greeley filmmaker Connor Anderson’s recent tribute to the dance track makes up for its lack of timeliness with its sharp production — via audio and video — and keen attention to detail. The hook: Dungeons & Dragons. Seriously.

“In the basement rolling dice, I’m a wizard/When we play we do it right, candles flicker/Fighting dragons in my mind, just for kicks/DM says, ‘Your’re gonna die, roll a D6.’ “

Kudos to Anderson and his team’s work, which puts to shame The video’s half-million views and national attention are well-earned, and had this been a more timely parody, we’re sure that number would be 10 times that.
