Crime Stoppers is offering a $2,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest of a man suspected in a series of robberies between April 23 and May 1, Denver police said today.

In two cases, the man walked up to victims, showed them a knife, robbed them and ran away.

In a third Denver case, on May 1 at East Wesley Avenue and South Quebec Street, he bumped a woman in her car with his. When she got out to check for damage, he took her purse and drove away in a black or dark blue 2001 to 2003 Acura CL coupe with five-spoke rims and tinted windows.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a similar suspect in a similar vehicle who tapped a female driver’s car near Southwest Plaza mall on April 26 then stole her purse when she got out to inspect the damage.

The first two Denver street robberies occurred on April 23 and April 25, police said.

The man is described as black, 30 to 40 years old, about 6 feet tall and 200 to 230 pounds.
