WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama appointed TW Telecom chairman Larissa Herda to his National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee, whose purpose is to provide advice and recommendations about the nation’s cybersecurity.

Herda also serves as TW’s chief executive and president and has more than 25 years of experience in the telecommunications and high-tech industries. She is a director of the Denver branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City and on the board of directors at the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado.

TW Telecom provides Internet services to businesses.
