GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.—A company that owns a pipeline that will carry natural gas from the Rocky Mountains west to Oregon says it hopes to open by July.
Company officials say the 675-milepipeline is designed to carry as much as 1.5 billion cubic feet of natural gas per day.
David Ludlam of the Western Slope Oil and Gas Association told the Grand Junction Daily Sentinel that Bill Barrett Corp. already has a contract to supply 50,000 cubic feet per day
Richard Wheatley of El Paso Corp., the company that owns the pipeline, says the natural gas that will be carried to western markets through the Ruby Pipeline will come from Rocky Mountain basins.
