The average retail gasoline price has fallen the past week, nationally by 5.1 cents and in Denver by 3.4 cents per gallon, according to a website that tracks the costs.

Gasoline averaged $3.62 per gallon at the pumps on Sunday in Denver, still lower than the national average of $3.71 per gallon, according to .

Despite the drops, average Denver prices were still higher yesterday than the same day a year ago — by $1.07 per gallon — though lower than a month ago by 11.1 cents per gallon.

Nationally, the average price for a gallon of gasoline has dropped by 23.3 cents over the past month.
