Police today released images of a rifle-toting bandit who held up a drug store in Colorado Springs.

The armed robbery happened about 1:45 a.m. on Tuesday at a Walgreens, 3480 Academy Blvd., according to a Colorado Springs Police Department media release.

The gunman, who pointed a rifle at a clerk and demanded money, fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police described the robber as a white man, 5’10”, about 200 pounds, wearing a black baggy shirt, white shorts and a towel over his face.

Anyone with information on a possible suspect is asked to call Det. Jason Ledbetter at 719 444-7547.
