A Grand Lake woman got to work recently and found a man sleeping on the porch of her restaurant wearing the chicken suit she uses to promote her business.
Employees have worn the suit to lure customers into Betty’s Cafe on holiday weekends, she said, but she didn’t recognize the man nor recall loaning the suit to anyone.
Turns out the man was from Littleton and had crashed a nearby wedding. Intoxicated, he found his way to the restaurant and slept it off on the porch.
How he got the suit — or into it — remains unclear.
