The Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce’s board of directors has chosen John Beeble, president and chief executive of Saunders Construction, as its chairman-elect, the group announced Thursday.
Beeble, left, will begin his term in September 2012, taking the reins from 2011-12 board chairman Hassan Salem, president of U.S. Bank in Denver.
Beeble is a 28-year veteran of the construction industry, 14 of them with Saunders.
“There is no industry that has been hit harder in this recession, which makes him the perfect leader as we work to help Colorado climb out of it,” the chamber’s chief executive, Kelly Brough, said of Beeble.
