BOULDER, Colo.—Attorneys choosing a jury in Boulder District Court are asking prospective jurors if their opinions on pornography would affect their ability to act fairly in a burglary case.
Police accused 42-year-old Theodore Lopez of breaking into the Mile High Adult Center and stealing pornographic magazines last September. He is charged with felony burglary, misdemeanor theft and misdemeanor criminal mischief.
According to the Longmont Times-Call, prosecutor Ken Kupfner asked potential jurors on Wednesday if their personal feelings about pornography would make it difficult for them to regard the business as a victim.
Three jurors said they were conflicted on the issue and one was put on the jury.
