Westmoreland Coal Co. today announced it has reached a new collective bargaining agreement with employees at the Absaloka Mine in Montana.

In an unrelated announcement, the oldest coal company in the U.S. today said it was moving its corporate headquarters from Colorado Springs to Englewood in November.

The union agreement with the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 400 is effective retroactive to June 1, 2011, and will expire May 31, 2015.

The company said its new offices will be at Shea Properties’ Maroon V building in the Meridian International Business Center. Terms of the lease were not disclosed.
