A Greeley man is behind bars for a sixth time in the last year for allegations that he has been repeatedly stalking his ex-wife since their divorce.

Joseph Stephen Gasner, 58 and a retired Lakewood firefighter, is in jail on a now combined $150,000 bond in two stalking cases against his ex-wife, Tina Prater. He was charged with stalking in December when a neighbor reported he was peeking into Prater’s windows; he picked up another felony stalking case this month when the same neighbor reported Gasner peeking into Prater’s back yard. He pleaded guilty in the first case in April and was awaiting a July sentencing. The charges that were dismissed in a plea agreement in the first case have now been added to the list of charges in the second case.

He faces from two to eight years in prison for each case, and by law, if he’s convicted of both, the sentences must run back to back.
