A man who died at a Golden business when a storage alcove collapsed has been identified.
Bret Jay Yocom, 45, of Littleton, died Friday in an industrial park incident when a storage alcove collapsed, the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office said today.
Golden firefighters responded to the collapse and it took them about 20 minutes to reach Yocom who was buried in debris, a Golden spokeswoman said.
The ceiling, at Alpine Envelope, was described as a storage mezzanine inside the business. The victim was identified as the business owner.
The cause of the collapse remains under investigation.
The coroner’s office, which has performed an autopsy, did not release an official cause of death citing pending test results.
