Multi-platinum country duo Big & Rich encouraged sharing the wealth at their fundraising concert at on Saturday — whether it was their hit “Save a Horse (Ride a Cowboy)” or the show’s net proceeds going toward the programs and services of Shriners Hospitals for Children.

“Being part of Big & Rich, it is an honor to be able to do what we love — playing music for incredible fans everywhere,” Big Kenny Alphin told Reverb before the show last week. “We absolutely love what we do, and it’s so important for us to support these great causes and help out any chance we get.”

Alphin’s bandmate, John Rich, recently won “The Celebrity Apprentice,” raising a record amount for his pet charity, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Gretchen Wilson was also on the big country bill — with Cowboy Troy and others.
