Denver Triathlon
July 23-24: Independent Endurance Sports presents this inaugural triathlon July 24. The main competition features a 1,500-meter swim (1 mile), 40-kilometer bike ride (25 miles) and a 10-kilometer run (6.2 miles). This race has been sanctioned by the USA Triathlon Association, a governing body of the United States Olympic Committee. Athletes can also compete in the Sprint Triathlon that includes an 800 meter swim (half a mile), 10 mile bike, and 3.1 mile run. A “Kids That Tri Duathlon” is July 23 along with a Health & Fitness Expo and packet pickup at Invesco Field at Mile High.

Crested Butte Zip Line Tour
Tours are offered daily 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m. and are based on reservations and availability. Five ziplines ranging in length from 150 feet to 400 feet are included and can accommodate up to eight participants at a time. The tours are approximately two hours and start with a 15-minute hike in the summer. Speed is maintained by an auto-braking system, controlled by the weight of each guest, which brings participants to a stop on the ramp at each platform. Two guides accompany each group. Denver Union Station Summer Walking Tours
Thursday: The Denver Union Station Project Authority is conducting free walking tours of the Denver Union Station redevelopment site. Tours begin at 4:30 p.m. the first and third Thursdays of each month through September.
