A man was arrested in Colorado Springs Thursday night after he allegedly fired several shots at two homes.
At 9:44 p.m., officers were called to the 2100 block of Kodiak Drive on a report of a man who was allegedly threatening residents, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department’s crime blotter.
The suspect was seen driving a silver Ford Escape in the area.
Officers interviewed several residents, including the suspect’s girlfriend, and decided to watch the the residence.
While on surveillance, officers saw the suspect drive by and fire several shots at two homes on Kodiak Drive.
Police pursued the vehicle, which eventually pulled over at the intersection of Circle Drive and Monterey Road.
The suspect who allegedly fired the handgun, ran away from the car. An officer followed the man and later took him into custody.
Two additional suspects stayed inside the vehicle.
Officers recovered the gun used in the shooting, after the suspect threw it from the vehicle during the pursuit.
The suspected shooter, Michael Allen, 30, was wanted on outstanding misdemeanor and felony warrants. He has also been charged with two counts of attempted first-degree murder.
Allen had minor injuries from the foot chase. He was treated at a local hospital and released back into police custody.
The driver of the vehicle, Jessica Wilkerson, 28, was charged with one count of criminal accessory to attempted first-degree murder and and one count of vehicular eluding.
The third passenger was released pending further investigation.
