The first stage of what is expected to be a long court fight over the Douglas County School District’s voucher program begins today as a Denver District judge hears arguments to temporarily halt the program before it even starts. The American Civil Liberties Union and other groups say the voucher program violates the Constitution and have asked Judge Michael Martinez to issue a temporary injunction stopping its implementation until all legal issues are resolved.
