We haven’t heard much from singer-songwriter since he released two albums and a one-off single about Bradley Manning back in 2011. But with a new double-album scheduled for release on Oct. 15 in the US, he’s finally peeked out with a new song.

“There Can Be Only One” is a sunny little folk-rock joint that bodes well for the new album, which genre-wise, seems a mosaic of sorts. From the press release:

Some of the genres that are to be found in varying degrees in the songs on this album are: Road songs, rock songs, folk songs, blues songs, country songs, rhythm and blues songs, skronk non-songs, cinema songs, cult songs, poem songs, jams, and ballads – to use however you wish.

It’s about time we got some new skronk music.
