A paid sick leave initiative will appear on the November ballot, the Denver Clerk and Recorder ruled this evening.
The measure would require employers in Denver to grant nine days a year of paid sick time to full-time employees.
Businesses with fewer than 10 workers would need to provide five days of sick leave. The requirement would be pro-rated to fewer days for part-time employees.
The clerk and recorder certified 7,248 petition signatures. To get on the ballot, the measure needed 3,973.
