Interstate 25 will be closed in both directions on Wednesday and Thursday night, as crews work to replace the 84th Avenue bridge.
The bridge will be replaced with a wider bridge, which will include an additional left-turn lane from eastbound 84th to northbound I-25, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.
Crews will realign 84th Avenue to the south in order to demolish and reconstruct the northern part of the bridge.
Starting at 7 p.m. each night, one lane of northbound and southbound I-25 will be closed. At 9 p.m., all lanes will close until 5 a.m. the following morning.
Seven girders will be installed each night the interstate is closed.
Daily lane closures on 84th Avenue between Grant and Acoma will continue throughout the week from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The $8 million project will be completed in October 2012.
