Heavy rain fell on parts of the state, but the last of warnings and watches for flooding along the Front Range have expired as of 10 p.m.

Scattered, slow-moving thunderstorms dropped several inches of rain on areas already deluged on Tuesday evening, as well. Storms produced thousands of lightning strikes, according to the National Weather Service.

Storms also brought more rain to southeast and southern Colorado and reports of a funnel cloud today.

The National Weather Service office in Pueblo said the funnel cloud was reported just south of Nathrop in Chaffee County. There were no immediate reports of damage.

Rain forced the postponement of the Colorado Springs Sky Sox game tonight with the Nashville Sounds until game Thursday.

Denver got few if any showers tonight, as storms passed south and west of the city.

The metro area has a 30 percent chance of showers tomorrow afternoon and a 20 percent chance Friday, as temperatures climb into the upper 80s or low 90s.

The high temperature in Denver today was 88 degrees at 3:43 p.m.
