Norwegian terror suspect Anders Behring Breivik visited more than 10 countries as part of his preparations for the July 22 twin attacks on Oslo and Utoya island.

“All the countries he talks about are part of the investigation,” Police Prosecutor Christian Hatlo said Thursday in Oslo.

Breivik, being held for killing 77 people in a shooting rampage and bombing, was interrogated for 10 hours Wednesday, Hatlo said.

“He continues to be calm and, in general, he cooperates,” Hatlo said at a news conference. “He talks about his travels abroad and about business activities, and these are things that we will review.”

The 32-year-old suspect traveled to countries including the Czech Republic and Sweden to acquire weapons and materials to make explosives and set up bank accounts in the Caribbean and Eastern Europe, according to a 1,518-page manifesto posted on the Web hours prior to the attacks.

On Monday, a U.S. government official said Breivik traveled in and out of Newark, N.J., at the end of July 2004 as a tourist. The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said it is not known whether he stayed in Newark the entire time or traveled elsewhere during his week-long stay.
