Police arrested a man wanted on three felony warrants, after an officer making a traffic stop spotted the suspect arguing in Colorado Springs on Tuesday.
At 1:32 p.m., an officer was making a traffic stop at Meadow Ridge Drive and Austin Bluffs Parkway, when he saw two drivers arguing, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department’s blotter.
The officer finished the traffic stop and spoke with the two. During the interview, a man ran away from the officer.
The man was identified as David Richardson, 21, who was wanted on three outstanding felony warrants including first-degree criminal trespass, burglary and fraud, police said.
Officers set up a perimeter and police dogs were called into help look for Richardson.
After about two hours, Police found Richardson hiding in the backyard of a home in the 4300 block of Ramblewood Drive.
He was arrested and, along with the three outstanding warrants, faces charges of obstruction of justice and possession of drug paraphernalia.
