ASPEN, Colo.—Pitkin County commissioners have decided not to ask voters to clean up campaign finance rules in the county’s home rule charter.
According to the Aspen Daily News (), commissioners agreed Tuesday to begin working on an ordinance to amend the charter in time for the busy 2012 campaign season.
Colorado Secretary of State Scott Gessler has barred the county from enforcing its own campaign finance rules along with state rules.
