Richard Limon, 69, had seen more than a half-century of trouble before he was found stabbed to death on a mountainside above Golden last week.
Limon’s name was released Tuesday, six days after his body was spotted by cyclists not far beyond the guardrail off the windy road to the top of Lookout Mountain. No information about a possible killer has been released.
Jefferson County sheriff’s spokesman Mark Techmeyer said there were many details he could not comment on — whether Limon died where he was found, how many times he had been stabbed and other details of the killing — without compromising the investigation.
Anyone who knows anything about what might have happened can call 303-271-5612.
Limon, a Denver resident, had a 51-year history of arrests and, in recent years, money problems, records show. His first recorded arrest was in 1960 for a stolen car in Denver. The Denver Post
