For the past week, Colorado has hosted the USA Pro Cycling Challenge, which closed with a big finale in Denver’s Civic Center Park on Sunday. The tour is said to have hosted 250,000 onlookers, many of whom stuck around to partake in the post-race party. As a perfect bookend to the day, Denver’s own performed for the hundreds who remained in Civic Center Park to experience the free concert treat. Young and old had a blast (thanks, in part, to the plentiful beer tents). It was a blisteringly hot, sunny day, but the cloud cover settled in just in time to welcome Flobots to the stage, offering the shirtless and minimally dressed more reason to hold their drinks up in celebration.
