The man who was stabbed and killed in Denver last week on Wednesday, was identified today.
Maurice Sevier, 55, died of multiple stab wounds on Aug. 31, according to a news release from the Denver Office of the Medical Examiner.
Sevier’s death was ruled a homicide.
At 10:33 p.m., officers were called to an apartment complex at 1525 Perry St. on a report of a possible stabbing.
After arriving, officers found Sevier inside an apartment with several stab wounds.
Sevier was taken to Denver Health Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.
On Sept. 1, police arrested 46-year-old Steven James Hernandez in Lakewood on suspicion of first-degree murder.
Police are not looking for any additional suspects.
