A man was robbed at gunpoint in a Colorado Springs park and the robbers forced the victim to disrobe before they fled.

The incident happened at about 9:30 p.m. Thursday at Prairie Grass Park, 710 Chapman Drive, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department crime blotter.

An 18-year-old man told police he was on his way to his mother’s house to visit her when he stopped in the park. That’s when three men approached and struck up a conversation.

One of the three men pulled a shotgun from beneath his jacket and struck the victim in the head.

The trio then forced the man to remove his pants and sweatshirt. They robbed his cellphone, wallet and clothing.

The robbers fled on foot toward the Pine Creek Apartments on Chapman Drive, police said.

The victim, who suffered a cut to his head, went to an apartment in the Pine Creek complex where he called 911 for help.

Officers responded and searched the area but could not find any suspects.

Police describe the suspects as: A black, bearded man, about 6-feet 2-inches tall and 200 pounds, wearing blue jeans and a long black leather jacket, armed with a shotgun; a black man, about 5-feet 9-inches tall and 150 pounds, wearing a red baseball cap, a red short sleeve shirt and blue or black pants.

The victim, who did declined medical treatment for his injury, told police he did not get a good look at the third male suspect.
