Getting your player ready...
Traffic in Colorado Springs is expected to be jumbled on the next three Saturdays, as crews begin constructing safety improvements.
East Platt Avenue will be closed on Saturday from about Union Boulevard on the east side to Hancock Avenue on the west side, according to a news release from the City of Colorado Springs.
The road will be closed from 7 a.m. to 12 a.m., as crews replace storm drains that cross Platt Avenue.
Detours will be in place but commuters should use alternative routes if possible.
Similar closures will take place on Sept. 17 and Sept. 24.
Message boards will be placed throughout the area to alert drivers of traffic conditions and alternative routes.
The project is expected to be completed by the end of November.
