THORNTON — Police are on the lookout for a woman who allegedly stole two puppies from Pet Ranch in Thornton.

On Monday, a Pet Ranch employee was preoccupied by two customers who were toward the back of the store. The employee noticed a woman with two puppies in her arms. A second later, when the employee looked up, the woman was gone and so were the puppies.

The two puppies are described as a male, black and tan Yorkshire Terrier and a black Boston Terrier/Chihuahua mix. The Yorkie was on sale for just under $1,300, and the Boston Terrier was valued at just under $800.
