FORT COLLINS, Colo.—Fort Collins Coloradoan Executive Editor Robert Moore is resigning effective Sept. 30 to rejoin the El Paso Times in El Paso, Texas.

The 51-year-old worked for 20 years at the El Paso Times before joining the Coloradoan in 2005.

The Coloradoan reports ( ) Moore will become both the Times’ executive editor and ap Inc.’s vice president for news of the Texas/New Mexico Newspaper Partnership, which publishes eight newspapers in Texas and New Mexico.

Coloradoan Publisher Judi Terzotis said Wednesday that Moore would be sorely missed.

Moore began his newspaper career at the Colorado Springs Sun in 1984. Before joining the Coloradoan, he served as assistant city editor, metro editor, managing editor and executive editor of the El Paso Times.
