The Vatican’s Congregation for Bishops recently named Bishop James D. Conley administrator of the Archdiocese of Denver, church officials announced Friday. Conley will lead the archdiocese in this period between Archbishop Charles Chaput’s departure for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and the naming of a new archbishop in Denver. That process is expected to take eight months to a year.
