PHILADELPHIA — Michael Vick has a broken right hand, and it’s uncertain when the Eagles’ star quarterback will return.

Vick left Sunday’s 29-16 loss to the Giants after getting hurt late in the third quarter. He started despite suffering a concussion in last Sunday’s loss at Atlanta.

“I don’t know anything right now except my hand is broken,” Vick said when asked if he could play against San Francisco next Sunday.

Coach Andy Reid said Vick will have a CT scan today.

Vick, who throws left-handed, wasn’t happy with the play that he got hurt on. He completed a 23-yard pass to Jeremy Mac lin before taking a hard shot from Chris Canty.

“I felt I got hit late. No flag,” Vick said. “At some point, something catastrophic is gonna happen. Not to blame the refs, but more precautions should be taken. I’m on the ground all the time in the pocket.”

It appeared on replays that Canty hit Vick in the face mask with his helmet. Vick sat on the ground and lifted his helmet off slightly before being helped up by a teammate and an official.

“Every time I throw the ball, I’m on the ground,” Vick said. “I get hit in the head. I don’t know why I don’t get the 15-yard flag like everybody else does. I’m not trying to blame the refs. I just want them to take notice.”

Suspensions possible.

Eight players, including Tennessee’s Kenny Britt, Tampa Bay’s Aqib Talib and Cincinnati’s Cedric Benson and Adam “Pacman” Jones, were subject to being suspended under the NFL’s conduct policy for incidents during the lockout.

A person with knowledge of the names confirmed to The Associated Press that those four are joined on the list by New England’s Albert Haynesworth, Arizona’s Clark Haggans (a former Colorado State star) and Brandon Underwood and Johnny Jolly, both formerly of Green Bay.

Injury updates.

Undefeated Buffalo had a scare in its come- from-behind win over New England when rookie cornerback Aaron Williams was wheeled off the field on a stretcher with a chest injury. He’s out indefinitely.

• Jets cornerback Antonio Cromartie left the team’s loss at Oakland with a rib injury, had X-rays taken at Eden Medical Center and returned to New Jersey with the team. Quarterback Mark Sanchez was hit in the face on a play and was going to have X-rays to check if his nose was broken.

• New Orleans right tackle Zach Strief (right knee) and center Olin Kreutz (left leg) left the Saints’ win over Houston.
