Colorado Securities Commissioner Fred Joseph announced today that he has entered a final cease-and-desist order against a California company and its managing director for allegedly promoting investments in the AmIraq Fund in Iraqi dinari.

Joseph contends the e-mail promotion violates the securities registration provisions of the Colorado Securities Act.

Named in addition to the AmIraq Fund is its general partner, BB&M International Corp., and the managing director and chief executive of both, William Burbank. All are based in Coronado, Calif.

Burbank has agreed to the order, but did not admit or deny the allegations.
