Deborah Jordy, executive director of the Colorado Business Committee on the Arts since 2004, has been appointed to the board of directors of Americans for the Arts. The national advocacy organization serves as a voice for the arts on federal cultural funding and other issues.
Jordy has played a prominent role on the arts scene in Colorado for more than 30 years. In addition to her post with the CBCA, she serves as co-chairwoman of Create Denver and is a former member of the Denver Commission on Cultural Affairs.
Her previous positions include 13 years as an associate curator at the Denver Art Museum and executive director of the Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities.
