Actor Jon Hamm said he’s not planning for children just yet, calling it’ a ‘tricky balance to strike’.
The 40-year-old “Mad Men” star said he and partner of 14 years Jennifer Westfeldt,41, still aren’t sure when they are planning to start a family.
Hamm told the Hollywood Reports, “it’s always on the periphery of the discussion, but … ‘You know, it’s a tricky balance to strike. And I have a tremendous amount of respect for my friends who do balance this particular career with raising a kid. Because it’s a tricky environment to bring them into. So not for us just yet.’
Hamm plays womanizing creative director Don Draper who is married and has two kids with Betty, played by January Jones.
But in real life, he is very much committed to Jennifer, who he has been with since 1997, even though he doesn’t ‘have the marriage chip’, according to her.
The pair were asked the the Emmy Awards, during which his show won for an outstanding drama series, how they make their relationship work.
Hamm said: ‘Breath mints. That’s always important. What else babe?’
Jennifer, an actress and screenwriter, added: ‘We have no secrets. There’s no secrets.’
Likewise, Jennifer Aniston says despite rumors to the contrary, there’s “no desperation” for her to have a baby.
Aniston, who is currently dating filmmaker Justin Theroux, addresses the speculation in the November issue of Elle.
“It’s not what you read. There’s no desperation. If it’s meant to be, it’s meant to be,” she says. “I’m at peace with whatever the plan is. But will you hate me if I say I don’t want to talk about my relationship?”
Are you ready for some unemployment? ESPN has fired Hank Williams Jr., days after he compared President Obama to Hitler.
ESPN had already pulled the song from Monday’s game while they mulled Williams’ fate, but now, it’s permanent.
ESPN released a statement, saying, “We appreciate his contributions over the past years. The success of Monday Night Football has always been about the games and that will continue.”
Williams went on Fox News earlier this week, and referred to Obama and Joe Biden as “the enemy.”
He later called his comments “dumb” — but never really apologized for saying them.
Actress Michelle Pfeiffer says she wouldn’t rule out any cosmetic enhancement in the future.
‘I’m all for a little something here and there – fine,’ the star told Elle magazine.
Elle asked her about her feelings on cosmetic surgery.
‘It doesn’t matter to me if people have plastic surgery or they don’t, or if they do Botox.’
However, Michelle says plastic surgery can to too far.
‘When people don’t look like themselves anymore, that’s when you kind of go, “Oooh,” and it’s kind of sad,’ the star adds.
‘It’s uncomfortable for us, but if they’re happy with what they see in the mirror, does it matter?’
Michelle will next star alongside Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter in the Tim Burton-directed film “Dark Shadows,” where she plays family matriarch Elizabeth Collins Stoddard.
