Sen. Mark Udall says he has negotiated a deal with a CBS affiliate in Albuquerque to ensure that Four Corners residents will be able to watch Broncos games.
Udall said Thursday he has worked out a deal with the manager of KRQE-TV to show the games this season, but he is still trying to find a permanent solution.
Residents of Montezuma and La Plata counties now get programming from Albuquerque, and some have complained that Broncos games are occasionally pre-empted by Dallas Cowboys games. Residents also have raised concerns in the past that they are shut out of Colorado-related advertising and political coverage.
The Federal Communications Commission delegates the power to set TV market areas to Nielsen Media Research, which placed the two counties in the Albuquerque market.
