An overnight frost and freeze could damage sensitive outdoor plants along the Front Range, the National Weather Service warned today.
Areas to the south and north of Denver should expect freezing between midnight and 8 a.m. Monday, with some spots experiencing their first freeze of the season as temperatures dip into the upper 20s.
In Denver, authorities have warned of frost with tempeatures hovering around the freeze point in the early morning hours.
The fall temperatures could kill sensitive outdoor plants.
The Weather Service recommends bringing plants indoors or covering them with blankets or newspaper.
