The Community Marketing Commission in its meeting Wednesday night gave the city the go-ahead to hire a city staff member to coordinate tourism and marketing efforts for Loveland.
The city staff proposed a salary between $47,000 and $67,000 for the person who would take up the role of visitor services coordinator. Lodging tax funds, which the commission oversees, would pay for the position.
This person wouldn’t assume a full convention bureau director’s role but rather would work directly with the CMC and partner with national, state and local organizations that coordinate events and provide services designed to attract visitors to the city.
