Wells Fargo and Co. was the top Small Business Administration lender in dollar volume nationally and also in Colorado during fiscal 2011, the company said Thursday.
Nationally, the bank approved $1.2 billion in SBA 7(a) loans to small businesses for the year ending Sept. 30, nearly a 40 percent increase over 2010. Wells Fargo was No. 2 nationally measured in loans made, with 3,142.
In Colorado, Wells Fargo made 215 loans totaling $79.8 million, up from 160 loans totaling $51.2 million last year.
