GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.—A couple in Palisade are accused of trying to sell methamphetamine to an undercover detective while their young daughters were in the room.
Authorities allege 24-year-old Kerry Hawkins was holding her 3-month-old daughter while negotiating the sale.
Hawkins and 29-year-old Nathan Saffer face drug and child abuse charges after their arrests last week. It’s unclear whether they have a lawyer.
The girls are now in foster care.
