DENVER—A woman accused of stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars from the Colorado Public Employees’ Retirement Association has been sentenced to 10 years in prison.

Fifty-three-year-old Beth Ann Roybal was sentenced Friday. She pleaded guilty in August to felony theft. A restitution hearing is scheduled for Nov. 21.

Denver prosecutors say Roybal was a senior portfolio manager at PERA working as a property manager for PERA-owned property until she retired in February. They say she was accused of stealing more than $500,000 by skimming rent checks and submitting phony invoices for the property she managed from 1993 to 2009.
