MAXWELL, Neb.—Authorities have identified three women killed in a rollover crash on Interstate 80 in central Nebraska.
The Nebraska State Patrol says 25-year-old Claudia Cerda-Hernadez, of Albuquerque, N.M., and 32-year-old Romelia Pacheco, of Denver, died at the scene of Friday morning’s crash near Maxwell. Twenty-three-year-old Viridiana Becomo, of Denver, died later at a hospital.
Six other people, including a baby boy, were hurt in the crash. The patrol declined to release their names, saying their families have not yet been notified.
All of the victims were in the same van. The patrol says the tread on a rear tire of a van separated, causing the driver to lose control and sending the vehicle into the median before it rolled several times.
