A man who entered tents of Occupy Colorado Springs members, and was apparently unwanted by the group, was cited Saturday by police.
Timothy Semple was taken to police headquarters, cited for trespassing and released, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department crime blotter.
At about 5:20 p.m. officers were called to Acacia Park on a report of a man who was “causing a disturbance by entering the permitted tents of the Occupy Colorado Spring group,” police said.
The man had been told by a permit holder that he was not allowed in the tents, police said. When officers arrived the trespasser had fled but police said they found his car, which had been booted for parking violations, with no one inside it. The car was impounded.
At about 7:14 p.m. police were called back to the park on a report that the same man “causing a disturbance by entering the permitted tents without permission,” the blotter said.
During the second visit by officers Semple was taken into custody, police said, cited and released.
