Colorado Springs police this afternoon released a surveillance photo of a young man who pistol-whipped a medical marijuana shop employee and stole cash and jars of pot Monday morning.
The robbery and assault happened about 10:30 a.m. at The Indispensary at 3044 W. Colorado Ave. in Colorado Springs.
The man hit the store employee in the head with his pistol and forced him into a restroom, then looked the door and looted the store, police said.
The clerk was taken to a local hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, police said.
The robber was described as white, 25 to 30 years old and about 5 feet, 9 inches tall.
He wore a blue or brown hoodie, a blue back pack, black gloves and blue jeans.
