The Wedding Gown Project
Through Wednesday: A writing competition, “The Wedding Gown Project: One Day, One Dream, One Dress,” is a nonfiction, memoir, blogging, essay-style contest for anyone planning on buying a wedding dress or who has worn one.
Quilting design contest
Through June 1: Swarovski Elements hosts its inaugural “Create Your Style” art quilting design contest to encourage quilters to use unique materials in their traditional quilt designs. Applications must be submitted by June 1. Thirty semifinalists will be chosen and 10 will be selected to attend the 2012 Quilt Festival in November, where the top three winners will be announced.
