Holme, Roberts & Owen, one of Denver’s oldest and largest law firms, announced today that it would combine its practice at the start of the year with Bryan Cave, an international law firm with more than 1,000 lawyers across the globe.

“Our clients will benefit significantly from the capabilities offered by Bryan Cave in the U.S. and internationally,” Randy Miller, HRO managing partner, said in a statement.

Denver-based HRO has offices in Boulder, Colorado Springs, San Francisco and Los Angeles, providing Bryan Cave with a presence in the Rocky Mountain region and expanding its reach in California.

The combined firms will operate as Bryan Cave, which is based in St. Louis.

“Combining with HRO represents a unique opportunity for both firms to expand the resources we can offer to our clients while reinforcing a shared culture dedicated to superior client service,” said Don Lents, chairman of Bryan Cave.

HRO attorneys are known for their work in energy, natural resources and sports law and its litigation group has handled numerous large cases for corporate clients. The firm is 113 years old.

Bryan Cave has 25 offices in Europe, the United Kingdom, across Asia and the United States.
