Colorado State University student arrested in Boulder for allegedly shooting outside woman’s home

A student from Colorado State University was arrested in Boulder today, after he allegedly fired several gunshots outside the home of a University of Colorado student early this morning.

Aaron Ross Hartman, 24, is accused of firing the shots near 11th Street and Aurora, according to a news release from the Boulder Police Department.

No one was injured.

Around 4:30 a.m., someone in the neighborhood saw a pickup truck leave the area shortly after the shots were fired. Police identified Hartman as the suspect after they learned he had visited a home in the area Friday evening.

The woman, whose name has not been released, is a student at the University of Colorado.

Hartman was arrested in Loveland and faces charges of reckless endangerment and prohibited use of a weapon, both are misdemeanors.

The shooting may be related to a domestic disagreement.

Officers found a gun after they searched Hartman’s home and vehicle.
