COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—A Colorado Springs church is celebrating the 100th year of its Christmas pageant called the “Christmas Mystery.”
The Colorado Springs Gazette reported Sunday ( ) that First Congregational United Church of Christ hasn’t changed very much about the sets, designs or dialog since the pageant was first performed in 1912.
The pageant is usually staged once a year but this year will be done twice as part of the centennial observance. The performances will be on Dec. 17 and 18.
Cast members from as long ago as 1936 are expected to attend the performance this year.
